"Any Bear" with Brigit Charles, Brigits Bears
Highly celebrated artist Brigit specialises in teaching you to recycle your old fur coats into treasured family heirlooms and also has a wonderful range of realistic "Ark Animals" for you to create. Brigit's bear patterns also lend themselves to the more traditional mohair fabrics, for those of you who don't fancy working with recycled furs.

"Amigurumi Bear" with Nicole Mallinder, Bears by Nicole
The very talented Nicole has agreed to share the secrets of how she makes her beautiful little crochet bears. Day 1: Will start you on the journey of amigurumi, learning to perfect the stitches and tension required. Homework will be set that needs to be completed ready for....Day 2: Learn how to construct and complete your little bear. Please note: This workshop is for experienced crocheters only, a list of requirements will be provided at time of booking.

Quilts for Foster Kids
Come and join us for a feel good session of quilting for a cause. Quilts made in these sessions will be donated to Soroptomist International for distribution to children in Foster Care throughout Western Australia. It's not essential to know how to quilt, if you can sew a (reasonably) straight line (or not!), or know your way around an iron and ironing board (even if you want to make the tea & coffee!!!) we can use your help!

Crochet for a Cause (or Knit to Do your Bit)
Last year we donated 25 crocheted granny square rugs - our target for this year ... as many as possible! This year the rugs are being donated to the group "Grandparents Rearing Grandchildren in WA". Come and join us for a happy session of easy crochet to make up some granny squares for our next batch of rugs. Any time you can spare us will be appreciated. Don't worry if you can't crochet - we will be happy to teach you for free (but we will keep the granny square you make!!)

UFO's Retreat Weekend, Toodyay
Our second retreat for 2018 is fast approaching - Payments need to be finalised by Saturday June 16.
Friday 29 June to Sunday 1 July 2018 (with an option to stay until Monday 2 July).
Join us at the amazing Avalon Homestead for lots of fun and laughter. It's a wonderful opportunity to make a head start on those UFO's that you have stashed away, start a new project or just catch up with your craft-loving friends - bearmaking, patchwork, quilting, embroidery, knitting & crochet (or do nothing at all!!). Cost includes twin share accommodation and meals from Friday evening through to Sunday lunch. You can either book over the phone or in person - $50 non-refundable deposit to secure your place.
Cost: $290.00 (2 nights twin share, includes meals and accommodation)

Class/Workshop Terms & Conditions
- Bookings essential!! Please don't just turn up & hope we can accommodate you.
- In fairness to both teachers and other students, no babies or children in class.
- No smoking inside. (You can take a break if you're desperate!)
- Bring your basic sewing supplies eg scissors, pins, needles, awl, pliers etc - don't forget to label them!
- Bring your own sewing machine if you wish to machine your project.It's a good idea to come and choose your kit (fabric, pattern etc) before the day of the class, as this decision can often take a while.
- If you wish, kits for workshops can include all materials required to complete your project. Optional accessories are available for purchase. If you don't want us to include the basics like stuffing and threads in your kit, please advise at time of booking.
- 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place in a workshop. Your place is not booked until this deposit has been received. You can book either over the phone or in person with cash or credit card. If a workshop is cancelled due to insufficient numbers or any other unforeseen circumstance, your deposit will be refunded or transferred to another workshop of your choice. Full day workshops include a light lunch. The Teddy Tree does not accept responsibility for changes in the personal circumstances of its students.
- A minimum of 5 people required for any class to run.

These lessons are suitable for all skill levels, from beginners to the more advanced. Bookings are essential! Class times are strictly as listed, as teachers have other commitments to attend to after class!
